Getting to Macau for your spa trip.
Updated 1 October 2026
The crossing is part of the plan: pick the right terminal for your spa, book the ferry or coach ahead, and know the cheap night option. Fares from the April 2026 tariff; the live listing governs.
Which terminal suits your spa
Staying on the Cotai Strip? Sail to Taipa: the terminal sits beside the resorts, and Cotai Water Jet runs direct from Hong Kong's Sheung Wan. Peninsula spas around the historic centre? Aim for Outer Harbour instead. TurboJET serves both, so it covers either plan.
Ferries from Hong Kong
About 70 minutes from Sheung Wan, both operators bookable online with instant confirmation and a QR code you scan straight at the boarding gates. Tickets are for a specific sailing, so book the departure time you want. Ferries suspend when the typhoon signal reaches 8 or above.

Buses across the bridge
Two options, very different. The HZMB shuttle bus ("Golden Bus") is the cheapest crossing in the region: HK$65 daytime (06:00-23:59), HK$70 overnight, about 45 minutes over the sea, running 24 hours every 5-10 minutes at peak. One suitcase per person (max 20 kg). The catch: the bridge ports are on the outskirts of both cities, so add connecting transport at each end. Tickets are sold at the port counters or through the operator's official channels. No booking link here because there isn't a real one: just buy it at the port.
Direct cross-border coaches are the bookable alternative. Eternal East runs from downtown Hong Kong pickup points straight to Macau via the bridge, with hotel drop-offs on the Macau side. E-ticket on your phone, arrive 15 minutes before departure. Fixed schedules and limited seats, so book at least a day ahead.

Late arrivals
The bridge bus is the only crossing that runs through the night, which pairs well with Macau's late-night spa scene: several venues stay open past midnight, and one never closes. See the late-night guide before you plan a midnight session.
