Practical
Spa gift vouchers in Macau: how they work.
Published 12 October 2026
Macau has no single official spa-gift-card scheme, but the practical version is alive and well: Klook sells e-coupon vouchers for the city's big hotel spas, and they make perfectly good gifts. Here is how they work, how to give one, and which ones are bookable right now.
Key facts
- What you buy
- A Klook e-coupon for a specific treatment package at a named Macau spa.
- How to gift
- Forward the e-coupon to the recipient, or give them a Klook e-Gift Card code to redeem themselves.
- Price range
- Roughly US$37 for a 45-minute foot reflexology session to around US$193 for a 90-minute body massage with pool and fitness access (Klook-listed prices).
- Redemption
- Book directly with the spa after purchase, mention the e-coupon, present the mobile voucher on arrival.
- Cancellation
- Most of these vouchers are non-cancellable and non-refundable once bought.
The mechanics
How a Macau spa voucher works
The vouchers sold on Klook are e-coupons: you pay on Klook for a specific package at a specific spa, and you receive a mobile voucher (a booking code, usually also emailed). That is step one. Step two happens outside Klook: you contact the spa directly, by phone or email, book your treatment time, and tell them you are using an e-coupon. At the spa, you show the mobile voucher to redeem it.
This two-step pattern is the same across the Macau hotel-spa listings: Sands Spa asks you to call or email at least a day ahead, V Spa asks the same, and Altira Spa recommends booking directly with the spa to secure your preferred slot. The voucher reserves the treatment, not the time: until you call the spa, you have paid but not booked.
Prices on Klook are shown in US dollars and change with promotions, so treat any number here as a snapshot. Confirm the live price at checkout.
Giving one
How to give a spa voucher as a gift
There are two practical routes. The simplest is to buy the specific spa voucher yourself and pass the e-coupon details to the recipient: the code, the package name, and the spa's booking contact. They then book directly with the spa and show the voucher on arrival. Nothing about the voucher is tied to your name at the treatment, so this works fine as long as you hand over the full details.
The more flexible route is a Klook e-Gift Card. Klook sells e-gift cards in several currencies including HKD; the recipient redeems the code into their own Klook account, and the value lands there as payment for almost any activity, including any of these Macau spa vouchers. Each card can only be redeemed once, and it can be combined with Klook promo codes or KlookCash at checkout. This is the safer gift if you are not sure which treatment the recipient would pick.

Before you buy
What to check before buying a voucher
Cancellation terms. Most of these listings say no cancellation, no refund, and no changes. Unused expired e-coupons are not refundable. If the recipient's travel dates are not firm, an e-Gift Card is the safer gift, since it stays in their account rather than expiring with a package.
Validity dates. Packages carry an "open date" window: the current round of listings runs to 31 October or 31 December 2026 depending on the package. Check the window before buying, especially for gifts meant for a trip further out.
Taxes and extras. Some packages are stated inclusive of the 10% service charge and 5% tourism tax; others add 5% government tax at redemption. "Other personal expenses" are excluded everywhere. Read the package's additional information before checkout.
Blackout dates. Listings can exclude peak periods: one current Sands Spa offer, for example, is not valid over a listed holiday stretch. If the gift is for a festive trip, check exclusions first.
For the rest of the logistics, our booking guide covers how to reserve and what to bring, prices puts hotel-spa rates in context, and best spas ranks the venues themselves.
